------------> We want you as a member ... read on...

We are now open for membership. The membership application, bylaws and web site are in place. Time to start recruiting members. The membership dues for 2007 are $10. All comments are welcome by posting to the forum "What to do about RC Flying Fields ?". If you know of someone who flys and does not have computer access please ask their permission for their address and I will snail mail them a copy of the app and bylaws. All information such as the member app and bylaws are available to any club who is trying to get off the ground. I can also give them a free web site and also secure a domain name of their choice. They are welcome to use this web site as a template.

I have also emailed some people I have not seen for a long time. I hope they are still flying. It would be great to fly with some of them again.

Weekend April 14th - 15th

I think most of us ended up flying at Fairmont this weekend and actually got some decent flying in regardless of the wind.

As you can see I have been updated this site and am almost finished. While you are waiting from me to finish updating the site how about doing some reading.

The first post is the crime stats for Fairmont Junior High. You can read all about it here "Vandalism at Fairmont". The second suggested reading is about the proposal in order to obtain our own flying field. That post can be found here "What to do about RC Flying Fields?". I really do need everyones input on this.

Friday April 13th 2007

Last Sunday I flew Fairmont and was shocked by how many people stopped by especially for an unannounced fly.
The field is flyable just dont fly over the fence. LOL
Everyone was was talking about how they missed flying as a group at Farimont and that we never knew how good we had it untill they reduced the field size.
The field is still larger than most fields we have been looking at and the location is still beats out all other fields presently.
So why dont you stop by and give Farimont a try with the reduced field size. The weather is not looking very good but we can still hang out as group for a little shop talk.

Mark G has located a new flying filed for us to try out. He has also talked to the owner and we have permission to use the field for flying. For directions see this post New flying field secured!

Saturday March 24 2007

As most of you have seen the field size at Fairmont Junior High has been reduced due construction. Today several of us decided to fly Hillside Junior High. You can see some pics I took today in the Local Indoor and Outdoor Flying Sites forum.
